Former ISU forward/center Jackson Vroman was killed Monday due to injuries sustained in a car accident, Iowa State announced Monday night.
Vroman played for the Cyclones from 2002-04 and averaged 13.2 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game during his 63-game stint.
A transfer from Snow College in Ephraim, Utah, Vroman was drafted in the second round by the Chicago Bulls in the 2004 NBA Draft. He bounced around and had stints with the Phoenix Suns and the then-New Orleans Hornets. He averaged 4.6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.
He also played internationally in Spain, China, South Korea and Philippines.
