Nine Cyclones on Big 12 honor team
Iowa State landed seven players on the Academic All-Big 12 first team, the league announced on Thursday. Offensive guard Daniel Burton, linebacker Jake Knott, offensive tackle Brock Dagel, running back Mitchell Harger, kicker Cole Netten, linebacker Kane Seeley, offensive tackle Jake Campos and long snapper Jake Rhoads made the first team.
Also, safety Qujuan Floyd made the second team.
An athlete must have a 3.0 GPA to be considered for academic honors and at least a 3.20 GPA for the first team.
