Gomez nabs regional honor
ISU’s Brittany Gomez was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association D1 All-Midwest Region first-team on Thursday.
This is her second straight all-region honor. She was also named to the All-Big 12 second-team and All-Big 12 defensive team after hitting .425 and leading the Big 12 with 79 hits this past season. She also tied the school record with 31 stolen bases this year.
