Sanderson sets school heptathlon mark
Taylor Sanderson recorded 5,619 points in the heptathlon, good for fifth, at the Razorback Invitational on Saturday. He topped the old school record, which he held, by 140 points.
The Iowa State women’s team placed seventh at the event with 44 points. The men’s team was ninth with 32.20 points. Arkansas won both titles.
Also, the Cyclone swept the 3,000-meter runs. Abby Caldwell won the women’s race in 9 minutes, 45.35 seconds. Dan Curtis won the men’s race in 8:20.02.
Christina Hillman won the shot put with a toss of 55-7 3/4.
