All-America honor for Warren
The awards continue to roll in for Iowa State running back Mike Warren.
The redshirt freshman from Lawton, Okla., was named to the USA Today Freshman All-America team on Thursday. This honor came a day after he received the Big 12 freshman offensive player of the year award.
Warren also received All-Big 12 honorable mention honors.
The honors come after Warren set the program freshman rushing record with 1,339 rushing yards. He also had five touchdowns. Warren was the 13th back in ISU history to top the 1,000-yard mark.
