Iowa State basketball is underway and the Hoiball era has passed as we enter the era of Steve Prohm. The No.7 Cyclones defeated Colorado for the season opener 68-62. Prohm gets his first win as a Cyclone coach and the fans are excited for Hilton Magic to be back in their lives.
Returning starters Georges Niang, Abdel Nader, Naz Mitrou-Long and Monte Morris all scored double digits against Colorado. Niang led with 17 points for the night. Jameel McKay added an additional eight points to the board.
