Iowa State Fires Paul Rhoads After Collapse To Kansas State

Iowa State couldn’t cling to a 35-21 lead in the fourth quarter against Kansas State, eventually losing 38-35. As a result, Head Coach Paul Rhoads couldn’t cling to his job.

The school fired Rhoads, the team’s head coach for the last seven seasons, according to Football Scoops.

Oddly enough, though, Rhoads will still coach the team’s final game.

When Rhoads took over in 2009, he finished the season with a surprising 7-6 record including a win over Nebraska.
