Steve Prohm just got a sweet deal.
The 20th head coach in the history of Iowa State head men’s basketball is inheriting perhaps the best team in program history to enter a season. He’s moving up from the Ohio Valley Conference to the Big 12 and tripling his pay in the process.
It’s not bad to be Prohm today. Not bad at all.
It’s a great situation for a coach to walk into, but it’s also a potentially delicate ecosystem as well.
He doesn’t have any natural connections to ISU at all.
