In 2015, Fred Hoiberg left his throne at Iowa State to pursue his dream in the NBA, heading to one of the most storied franchises in the sport, the Chicago Bulls. Today, the Bulls let go of him.
Fred wasn’t blessed with the best luck or talent throughout his tenure. There was turmoil with Jimmy Butler and Dwayne Wade in the locker room, and the general manager combo of GarPax was incompetent and tried to tank. Hoiberg didn’t do the best coaching job in the Chicago, but the disaster is certainly not all his fault.
Hoiberg was just 5-19 this year and 115-155 through his career.
