The athletic department at Iowa State University today announced the indefinite suspensions of four freshmen players apart of the football program.
This comes a mere eight days from the Cyclones first game against the SDSU Jackrabbits at MidAmerican Field at Jack Trice Stadium.
The suspended freshmen were each touted as being camp standouts prior to their dismissal, with a couple possibly fighting for early playing time.
Iowa State football coach Matt Campbell released a statement following the announcement.
“Four freshmen — Tayvonn Kyle, Jaeveyon Morton, Joseph Scates and Dallas Taylor-Cortez — have been suspended indefinitely from our football team for multiple incidents of poor choices and behavior.
