Demond Tucker is no stranger to making big statements. He made another at Iowa State media day.
After saying he wants to be the Big 12 defensive player of the year during the spring, Tucker revealed he expects the Cyclones to put together “a great defense” in 2015.
“We will shock everybody,” the defensive tackle said.
Tucker isn’t making the statements to grab attention. He truly believes it’s all possible. He was the NJCAA junior college defensive player of the year in 2013. He also thinks that the influx of junior college talent will help the defense rebound after two subpar seasons.
