Football: Seeley organizes Relay for Life team to support Meyers

The thought came to Kane Seeley shortly after his teammate Mitchell Meyers was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. It stayed with him through the football season.

Now, he’s acting on it. Seeley puts together an Iowa State football group to take part in is taking Relay for Life to honor Meyer’s battle with cancer. The event is being held at 7 p.m. tonight at the Lied Rec Center.

“I had to help him out anyway I could,” Seeley said.

So he turned to his friend Pauline Zielinski, a fellow cancer survivor. She told Seeley about Relay for Life, an American Cancer Society fundraiser.
