Iowa State is expected to hire Nevada assistant Jim Hofher as quarterbacks coach, according to multiple reports. FootballScoop.com was the first to report the move.
Hofher was the assistant head coach and the wide receivers coach last year for the Wolfpack. He previously was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Delaware and has had head coaching stints at both Buffalo and Cornell.
He also called plays in Nevada’s 28-23 Arizona Bowl win this week. Hofher is the latest addition to the staff of Matt Campbell, who replaced former ISU coach Paul Rhoads last month.
