Football: QB Noland signs with Cyclones

Iowa State has its quarterback for the 2016 recruiting class.

Oconee County (Ga.) quarterback Zeb Noland signed with Iowa State on Monday. He will enroll at the university for the spring semester.

“He has an electric arm,” said ISU coach Matt Campbell in a statement. “The ball jumps off his arm at a high level and he’s a guy that I think brings both maturity and intelligence, but most importantly immense leadership ability.”

Noland, a two-star Rivals.com prospect, originally committed to Appalachian State in the summer, but he visited ISU in December and became the sixth player to sign with ISU during the mid-year signing period.
