Iowa State will be “competitive” with its available salary as it looks to replace the fired Paul Rhoads as its football coach, ISU athletic director Jamie Pollard said Monday.
The Cyclones’ search figures to be a complex and potentially costly one with 13 current FBS openings and group of five programs like Houston and Memphis reportedly willing to offer in the neighborhood of $3 million per year to keep their hot commodity coaches.
