Iowa State defensive end Dale Pierson has been added to the Lombard Award watch list. The trophy is given annually to the nation’s top linemen.
Pierson leads ISU with 6 sacks and 8 tackles for loss. He is quickly approaching the ISU single-season sack mark of 8.5, set by Shawn Morehead in 2006.
