Mark Mangino is no longer a part of the Iowa State football program.
The offensive coordinator, who was hired two years ago amid much fanfare, is out in and passing game coordinator Todd Sturdy is in at offensive coordinator, ISU coach Paul Rhoads said at his Monday press conference.
Rhoads declined to specify if Mangino was fired or resigned, only saying that he and Mangino could not get on the same page. The move was made Monday morning.
Mangino was Oklahoma’s offensive coordinator during the Sooners’ national championship season and went on to be head coach at Kansas, where he led the Jayhawks to an Orange Bowl championship.
