Football: Jack Trice expansion remains on schedule

The southeast endzone expansion at Jack Trice Stadium continues to make progress, and, just as importantly, on-time progress.

The $60-million project remains on track to finish its interior work by Aug. 11 and the exterior work by Aug. 24, according to Weitz Company project manager Ben Bunge.

The job continues with about 200 workers per day, putting in aluminum bleachers, installing seatbacks and all the other tasks that accompany such a large undertaking.

A ribbon board on the west side of the stadium was installed this week as was the field pump, which handled the heavy rains without issue.
