The Cyclones are invading the South.
The Iowa State football team is joining a growing national trend of taking part in satellite camps in talent rich football states below the Mason-Dixon Line.
“They are university run camps and we’re working for them,” ISU coach Paul Rhoads said at the Tailgate Tour on Tuesday. “We’ll get down, work the camps and evaluate a lot of kids and get in front of a lot of kids.”
Expect the Cyclones to take part in camps in Dallas, Houston and Tampa.
The Cyclones have heavily recruited Florida and Texas since Rhoads became head coach.
