DALLAS — Iowa State football coach Matt Campbell released his first depth chart on Monday and defensive end Mitchell Meyers, who was recently diagnosed as cancer free, is listed as a co-starter with Gabe Luna at Leo.
There were no major surprises on the depth chart. Redshirt freshman Bobby McMillen is listed as the starter at strong-side linebacker, but the Cyclones are expected to play a 4-2-5 base defense this season.
Meyers, who started 12 games in 2014, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma in February 2015. He underwent treatment and returned to campus in March to workout with the team.
