Football: How ISU is trying to ensure the vibe that led to the Texas win lingers around

The biggest change for the Iowa State football team didn’t involve a coaching change or the field. The seeds of the shutout, the 24-0 win over Texas from Saturday, grew whenever a Cyclone opened his mouth.

“Just walking around the facility, there is a little bit of swagger going on,” offensive tackle Jake Campos said. “A lot of talking. A lot of energy throughout the locker room, the dining hall.”

ISU could be confused for working in a new-age wellness center. Vibe. Juice. Buzz. It’s all being described as the root cause of the Cyclone revival from last weekend.
