The request came at halftime. Let’s see something. We want a good celebration.
Iowa State holder Austin Fischer mulled over what he could do to make his teammates happy. He thought of the bow and arrow, the move he came up with alongside kicker Cole Netten during the summer.
So in the second half, after Netten converted a kick against Kansas on Saturday, Fischer shot up, grabbed an imaginary arrow and fired it.
It found the center of the social media bull’s-eye. By trying to impress his teammates Fischer, and his post-score celebrations, gained national notoriety over the weekend.
