After weeks of thought, Heacock and his family decided the Cyclones would be the best bet. ISU officially announced the hire on Tuesday. The Ames Tribune reported it on Saturday.
“This was a big family decision for us, more so than anything else involved,” Heacock said. “It’s not very often you get offered a spot to be at two places that you really want to be at with people that you really want to be around.
