It engulfed Kamari Cotton-Moya when he went down screaming, clutching a leg, at practice last Wednesday. It disoriented him. Only one notion pierced through it.
“I really just thought I was done for the season,” the Iowa State free safety said.
The hamstring injury has altered Cotton-Moya’s sophomore season. Gone are the days of stopping Big 12 passing attacks. It’s replaced with what may be an impossible task. Rehabbing so he can return before the season ends.
“Having to miss two games or three more games, whatever it is, I am going to get back out there,” Cotton-Moya said, “even if it’s the last game of the season.
