It didn’t take long for new Iowa State football coach Matt Campbell and his staff to land his first two 2016 commitments.
The Cyclones secured verbal commitments from defensive back Jatairis Grant and City College of San Francisco defensive end Oge Udeogu. Both took official visits over the weekend.
Grant, from Garfield High School (Ohio), previously committed to Campbell and his staff at Toledo. He is a two-star Rivals.com prospect and is 6-foot, 180 pounds.
“Such a blessing and proud to announce that I’m a Cyclone #CycloneONEnation” tweeted out Grant on Sunday morning. The tweet included a picture of Grant with Campbell and one of Grant in an ISU jersey and hat.
