Iowa State football signee Sheldon Croney is progressing well following a self-inflicted gunshot wound last week, head coach Paul Rhoads said on Monday.
The incident happened last Tuesday in Bakersfield, California.
“He is doing fine,” Paul Rhoads said. “There is going to have to be a healing process that takes place. With the medical reports we have right now we have are confident that by summertime, about when he arrives, he’ll be able to do most everything everyone else is doing.”
Newcomers, including Croney, are expected to arrive at ISU in June.
