It happened again. The offensive line was hit with another season-ending injury.
Backup center Patrick Scoggins will miss the season with a torn patella tendon, the team announced on Tuesday.
“I try not to allow myself to be frustrated,” Rhoads said. “ It’s part of the game. You know it’s part of the game. It’s a violent game.”
Scoggins, a transfer from Long Beach Community College (Calif.), was brought in to be the starting center. He was passed on the depth chart by Jamison Lalk during spring practice. He arrived at ISU with only two years of eligibility and without a redshirt option.
