Ames quarterback Michael Frankl won’t be going far for college. The senior confirmed to the Ames Tribune he will walk-on at Iowa State. Frankl first made his announcement on Twitter on Thursday afternoon.
“Honored to say that I will be furthering my education and football career at Iowa State University! #CycloneNation,” Frankl tweeted out along with a picture of Jack Trice Stadium and another of himself in an ISU football jersey.
The commitment brings a positive ending to tough season for Frank. He tore his ACL in the season opening game against Ankeny Centennial and missed the rest of the year.
