Following a breakout sophomore running back David Montgomery has been garnering tons of national attention, including talk as a potential first round draft pick in next summer’s NFL Draft. Montgomery was also named to the preseason watch list for the Maxwell Award, which is given to the nation’s most outstanding offensive player.
Brian Peavy hasn’t been the subject of the same national media attention DM has gotten, but he’s shown to be every bit as worthy, and has risen to become on of the best cornerbacks in the country. Peavy was named to the preseason watch list for the Chuck Bednarik Award given to the nation’s most outstanding defensive player.
