The Mountaineers from West Virginia traveled into the tundra of Ames, Iowa to take on the rolling Clones. Iowa State ran them out of the gym, 93-68. West Virginia has been at the bottom of the Big 12 for the better part of the year, so clearly this isn’t the same team we’ve been used to.
Like most Iowa State games, this one started out sloppy. Marial Shayok started the game out with a quick 8 points and Esa Ahmad had 6 points early as both teams traded blows. At the ten minute mark, West Virginia led 18-17.
