Needless to say, Iowa State basketball has struggled so far in the 2020-2021 season. If you’re waiting for a plot twist in this recap, you will be disappointed.
Texas Tech, a team that thrives on creating turnovers and scoring on them, went to Hilton Coliseum to take on Iowa State, a team that turns the ball over more than anyone in the conference, and, shockingly, turned the Cyclones over 15 times and were able to knock down shots consistently.
Meanwhile, Iowa State struggled to knock down jump shots, and fared even worse on defense and rebounds. The Cyclones shot 44% from the floor and 33% from beyond the arc, compared to Texas Tech’s 59% from the floor and 39% from three.
