After a hot shooting first half which saw the Cyclones put up over 50 points, the good guys still trailed at the half due to poor defense, turnovers, and Kansas State’s own hot shooting. Dean Wade, Kamau Stokes, and Barry Brown did most of the damage with 34, 23, and 21 points, respectively.
K-State continued its hot shooting in the second half, while a lid was firmly attached over Iowa State’s basket. At one point, the Cyclones had gone nearly five minutes without a single field goal. Free throw struggles really hurt the Cyclones tonight, emphasized by Lindell Wigginton missing all three after getting fouled behind the arc.
