It took until the final matchup of the season, but the ISU win locked up the Cy-Hawk Series title for the Cyclones. The annual competition between the rival schools spans the spectrum of athletic programs and even encompasses an element of academics.
Iowa State claimed the series 15-11, earning a second consecutive Cy-Hawk victory. It is the first time in the history of the series that either school has repeated as champion. Had the ISU softball team lost in Iowa City, the schools would have ended the 2014-15 series in a 13-13 tie.
Iowa State notched notable victories against Iowa in men's basketball, football and volleyball.
