What a game for the Cyclones. After opening the game with a 24 yard touchdown scamper by Joel Lanning, Iowa State continued to pile on, amassing an incredible 45-3 lead heading into halftime.
Allen Lazard and Hakeem Butler each hauled in touchdown passes from Jacob Park, who also ran one in himself, and Cole Netten tacked on a field goal.
Meanwhile, Texas Tech’s offense struggled mightily, mustering only three points, while Pat Mahomes’ only relevant statistic was an interception at the hands of Kamari Cotton-Moya.
The second half was only mildly kinder to the Red Raiders.
