After a rollercoaster three years at Iowa State that involved academic and disciplinary issues alongside undeniable talent, Jeff Goodman tweeted out that a source has revealed that Cameron Lard will be transferring away from Iowa State.

Cam averaged 9.7 points and 5.4 rebounds over his career in Ames, but was also suspended multiple times by Steve Prohm for various disciplinary issues, though most were never publicly detailed.
We’ll probably never really know the full story of why this didn’t work out, but between the disciplinary issues and the logjam in the post the Cyclones suddenly had with Solomon Young, George Conditt, and Michael Jacobson all returning with major roles in 2019-2020, a change of scenery might be best for Cam.
