ANKENY - Right now, there isn’t much difference between being a Chicago Bull or an Iowa State fan. Former Ames standout Doug McDermott is just like everyone else in Ames when it comes to the uncertain situation around the Bulls head coaching position.
He’s waiting to see how it plays out.
“You hear that stuff all the time,” said McDermott before an appearance at a Sam’s Club in Ankeny on Saturday. “I am getting the same stuff you got. I don’t hear much at all. I trust the Bulls organization to make the right hire. I am just looking forward to (whomever is the coach), whether it’s coach Thibs or anyone else.
