Jan Jensen’s Iowa Hawkeyes have found their replacement for former assistant coach Raina Harmon: Jensen announced this afternoon that LaSondra Barrett will don the black and gold as the program’s new assistant coach and most likely, head recruiter.
Barrett is tremendous hire, joining the program after spending the last three seasons with Georgia Tech as an assistant coach, and additionally became the team’s recruiting coordinator this past season. She apparently had multiple suitors in the carousel, with the other contender allegedly being Auburn. Barrett joining the staff is a definite victory on its own, but particularly in the midst of the coaching staff (incorrectly) being perceived as not doing enough in the portal.
