The Iowa Hawkeyes kick off their 2024 season on August 31st when they host Illinois State, but Hawkeye fans got an early glimpse of the team last weekend as Iowa hosted their annual Kids Day open practice inside Kinnick Stadium on Saturday.
As you’d expect, all eyes were on the new-look offense. Or perhaps what was supposed to be a new-look offense after Iowa finished the 2023-2024 season ranked dead last nationally in total offense and nearly there in points per game (thanks for the points, Phil and Cooper!).
At the end of the season, it should be rather easy to know if that new look truly was better.
