GREENVILLE, South Carolina -- The University of Iowa women’s tennis duo of Carin Runefelt and Aimee Tarun won a pair of matches Friday afternoon at the Furman Fall Classic in Greenville, South Carolina. Runefelt was one of four Hawkeyes to make her Iowa debut. Natalie Looney was teamed with Anastasia Reimchen to win her Hawkeye debut over Alabama’s Savva/Greene. Overall, the Hawkeyes went 3-10 against a doubles tournament field that included six nationally ranked teams.
Due to weather, the tournament was moved indoors, and singles were postponed until tomorrow.
