IOWA CITY, Iowa --The University of Iowa women’s tennis team makes its fall debut Friday in Greenville, South Carolina. The Furman Fall Classic is a three-day tournament at the Mickel Tennis Center, on the campus of Furman University.
“We’ll see some of the best teams in the country this weekend.” Said UI head coach Katie Dougherty. “This is a great opportunity to compete against top players and teams in the ACC and SEC that we don’t see during the year.”
In addition to Iowa, the six other tournament participants include Alabama, Tennessee, Clemson, South Carolina, Florida State, and 2015 NCAA Champion Vanderbilt.
