WEST LAYFAYETTE, Ind. -- The University of Iowa women's swimming and diving team dropped a 179-117 Big Ten Conference dual to No. 23 Purdue on Friday night at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center. The Hawkeyes won three events in the competition.
"Congratulations to Purdue for out-performing us in the pool and on the boards tonight.” said UI head coach Marc Long. “We had some great individual efforts and wins, but in the end it wasn't enough as a team. We're eager to get better and perform better the next opportunity we get."
Iowa opened the meet by winning the 200-medley relay.
