OMAHA, Neb. -- The University of Iowa women’s soccer team split a pair of 1-0 results Saturday in Omaha. The Hawkeyes fell to South Dakota State, 1-0, in the first game before defeating Nebraska-Omaha, 1-0, in the night cap.
Iowa held the Jackrabbits scoreless at the half. South Dakota State scored the game-winning goal in the final minute, robbing Emma Rigby of a shutout and sending the Jackrabbits to a 1-0 victory.
The Hawkeyes ended their day on a high note, topping the Mavericks, 1-0. Rose Ripslinger scored the game-winner early in the first half on a Bri Toelle assist.
