IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The University of Iowa women’s soccer team opened the spring slate with a 7-vs.-7 tournament title after winning all four games Feb. 27 at the Indoor Practice Facility. The Hawkeyes collected wins over Northern Iowa, Iowa State, Drake, and South Dakota.
The Hawkeyes downed Northern Iowa, 2-1, in their first game of the day. Junior Bri Toelle netted the first goal on an assist from sophomore Karly Stuenkel. Freshman Rose Ripslinger scored the second and final goal of the game after finishing a redirect from Stuenkel.
