W. Rowing. 3 Ink to Join Hawkeye Rowing

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Three have signed National Letters of Intent and will join the University of Iowa rowing program next fall. Hannah Greenlee (Ames, Iowa), Katie Pearson (Victoria, British Columbia, Canada), and Elena Waiglein (Trieste, Italy) will add experience to all boats from 1x to 8+.

“We’re very excited about the addition of Elena, Katie and Hannah to the Hawkeye family,” UI head coach Andrew Carter said. “Each brings unique experience and accomplishments with her to Iowa and I’m looking forward to seeing them grow even further in our program.”

• 2012:
- 2nd place in the 8+ at the European Rowing Championship
- 3rd place in the 1x at the Couple de la Jounesse Regatta
- 1st place in the 4- at the Italian Rowing Championship
- 1st place in the 4x at the Italian Rowing Championship
- 1st place in the 4+ at the Italian Rowing Championship
• 2013:
- 2nd place in the women's 4- at the World Junior Rowing Championship
- 1st place in the 2x at the Italian Rowing Championship
- 1st place in the 4+ at the Italian Costal Championship
• 2014:
- 1st place in the 2x at the memorial D’Aloja
- 2nd place in the 4x at the European Rowing Championship
- 1st place in the 8+ at the Italian Rowing Championship
- 8th place in the 4x at the World Junior Rowing Championship
- 2nd place in the 4+ at the Italian Costal Championship
- 1st place in the 1x at the Italian Rowing Championship
- 2nd place in the 1x at the Italian Rowing Championship on 6 km
• 2015:
- 3rd place in the 2x at the Italian Rowing Championship on 6 km
- 4th place in the 2x at the Italian Rowing Championship
- 3rd place in the 4+ at the Beach Games Regatta
- 5th place in the 2x at the Italian Rowing Championship
- 3rd place in the 1x at the Italian Rowing Championship
- 1st place in the 1x at the Italian Coastal Championship
