INDIANAPOLIS -- The University of Iowa women's golf team concluded its' spring season at the Big Ten Championships Sunday, tying for ninth overall. After posting rounds of 292 (+4) and 295 (+7), Iowa jumped two spots up the leaderboard during round three with a 289 (+1). The Hawkeyes tallied a 54-hole total of 876 (+12) -- their best championship result by 34 strokes.
Northwestern and Ohio State both took home a share of the Big Ten title for the second consecutive year with a score of 852 (-12).
"As a team we are certainly leaving disappointed with our overall finish but I am proud of this group for moving up today and we had some great things happen individually this week," said UI head coach Megan Menzel.
