Uthoff Named Second Team All-America by USBWA

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa senior Jarrod Uthoff was named Monday to second team All-America team by the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA). Uthoff becomes the first Hawkeye to ever be honored as a USBWA All-American.

In addition to the USWBA, Uthoff has been named second team All-America by Sporting News, and earned third team accolades by USA Today and Scout.com.

Uthoff, a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, ranks second in the Big Ten in scoring (18.9), first in blocked shots (2.7), and tied for 11th in rebounding (6.4). The forward ranks 19th in Iowa career scoring (1,259) and fourth in blocked shots (174).
