Track. Iowa Women Cap Season at NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. -- The University of Iowa women's track and field team wrapped up the 2016 season at the NCAA Outdoor Championships on Thursday. Six student-athletes came away with second-team All-America accolades.

Senior MonTayla Holder capped her Iowa career as a second-team All-American in the 400-meter hurdles. The Indianapolis native placed 16th (58.52) overall, her highest finish in the event at an NCAA championship meet. She earned honorable-mention All-America honors in 2014.

After placing 21st in the 400 meters at the 2015 NCAA Championships, junior Elexis Guster (52.46) came in 10th overall, two spots out of qualifying for the final, to earn second-team All-America honors.
