Some may see this title and laugh it off as another crazy Iowa football fan with bloated expectations and a blurred vision of reality, but I promise you my expectations are much in line with the 8-4/9-3 season that the Iowa football team usually achieves.
However, I do think there are some exciting things about this team that could make them a darkhorse contender for the College Football Playoffs.
Again, will this likely happen? No. But could it? Absolutely.
Despite losing four underclassmen, two All-American tight ends and 11 starters, the Hawkeyes could actually return stronger and be better this season.
