This is no shot at Cade McNamara.
He seems like a guy that is liked in the locker room. Coaches like him (maybe too much). He’s won the thing Kirk has said is the goal every year (won at Iowa’s expense). He has huge confidence, which is necessary at this position.
I appreciate that Iowa went for it. They tried to improve at quarterback, a position they mismanage almost every year, especially of late with preposterous coaching that minimized the position. But we’ve seen enough. The injuries suck and whatever he had, whatever that “it” is, is gone.
