The Iowa Hawkeyes ran into an absolute buzzsaw earlier this week when they traveled to West Lafeyette to face #4 Purdue, who was fresh off their lone loss of the season. The Boilermakers thoroughly dominated the Hawkeyes en route to an 87-68 victory.
Now, as Iowa looks to bounce back, they continue their week from scheduling hell with a road trip to Ames to face off with the Iowa State Cyclones. The Clones got back into the win column in their last outing back on December 1st as they took down DePaul 99-80. The win snapped a two-game losing streak for Iowa State in their only two real tests thus far in 2023.
